If the machine is equipped with an earlier version ether starting aid group, remove the entire system with the exception of the in-cab, dash mounted, 8C9812 Switch and the tubing to the turbocharger outlet adapters. The parts to remain will consist of two tubes from the nozzles to a tee and the tee.On the 789 Truck, the parts to remain will consist of four tubes from the nozzles to the tees and two tees.All electrical wiring from the earlier system must be removed, including the wiring to the 8C9812 Switch. The harness to the existing ether system that is located on the cross tube remains. Tie wrap the existing connections and install dummy plugs in the sure-seal connectors.Installation of the 8X3710 Plate Assembly

Mount 8X3710 Plate to 8D8832 Plates with 5P8167 Bolts. Tack weld 8D8832 Plates in position then remove 8X3710 Plate.3. After removing 8X3710 Plate, use a 3.0 mm (.12 in) weld on both sides of each 8D8832 Plate (1) to fasten them to tube assembly (2).4. Using the 5P8167 Bolts with 8T4896 Washers, fasten the 8X3710 Plate Assembly to the 8D8832 Plates.789 Truck
