The DEF quality sensor provides greater accuracy of DEF concentration.Caterpillar recommends that the engine software is updated to the latest version. The latest version of the engine software will allow the DEF quality sensor to be enabled.Follow step 1 to step 7 to install the engine software and enable the DEF quality sensor.Note: Factory passwords are required to complete the procedure. Refer to Troubleshooting, ECM Software - Install for more information.
Install the latest version of the engine software. Refer to Troubleshooting, ECM Software - Install for the correct procedure.
In the electronic service tool, go to the "Service" menu and select "Configuration".
