1262 PI10039 This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI10039" as the Part number and "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI10039" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
This Revised Service Letter replaces the November 23, 2000 Service Letter. Changes were made to the Parts Needed.
PROBLEM
The 1N3789 Fuel Filter Base on certain 3500 Diesel Standby Engines may have incorrect stud height. If the stud height is incorrect, the "spin on" fuel filter may fall off of the filter base. The stud height will need to be measured. If the stud height is not adequate, the filter base will need to be replaced.
